“Mantiques.” Honestly, Lori and I made up this word over a year ago when we were talking about the vendors at Topanga Vintage Market that attracted all the guys to their booths to shoot the breeze about the tools, gadgets, boots, macho movie stuff, medals, antlers and cameras. Of course, come to find out, “mantique” is a word that’s been around the block, at least since the word “vintage” left the wine cellar. Matter of fact, it’s already in the urban dictionary, which any self respecting guy will tell you is the essential lexicon.
So now that it’s almost Father’s Day, we thought we’d feature a few of our favorite mantiques here on the blog.
